As the Director of Development Services for Dimension Development Partners, David Shanahan oversees the management of critical functions key to the success of the overall business including due diligence, design, permitting, construction and tenant coordination. During his three-plus decades in real estate, his primary focus has been to achieve ideal outcomes for clients. Prior to Dimension, David owned his own business, Shanahan Development, for 10 years, where he provided consulting and development services for a number of major clients in the Northeast. David also worked for Lincoln Property Company, in Boston, and for Home Depot as the Northeast Real Estate Manager. He also served as the Vice President of Development for Dewberry Capital.

Direct and responsive, David brings the company tremendous experience in the realm of development. Projects under his supervision have included developments ranging from high-rise complexes and urban office buildings to power centers exceeding 500,000 square feet. During his tenure at Home Depot, he was responsible for developing more than 40 locations. He was also involved in the development of 18 Circuit City locations. Always treating clients’ needs as his own, he takes pride in the range and caliber of service the firm offers.

David and his wife of 38 years, Maureen, have two children, Liam and Blair, and a five-year old granddaughter, Ryleigh.  David is an active hiker, runner and skier.  The recent completion of a new mountain home allows his family more time spent outdoors.
